Step 1: 3 paragraph analysis for ENG420

Attending law school requires 3 years of learning in an advanced education situation. The first year of law school is almost the same at every law school in the nation. One learns the basic tools and concepts that are universal to the field of law. After the first year, one is required to take 2 years of electives which one can choose based upon their interest. I am interested in entertainment law, so after my first year I will be required to take courses on contractual law and other entertainment law aspects. The law schools I am looking at look for a range of a 160-175 LSAT and anywhere from a 3.25-3.8 for graduating GPA.
Throughout my life, the thought of being a lawyer has always been there. I have a passion for arguing. This passion can make me annoying to some people when I slowly analyze every single facet of a situation. I believe that analyzing every facet of an idea or topic is a strong ability of mine. I always seem to be the person who says, “Well, wait a second, what about possibility B,C,D,E,F,G, exc…” I also feel that I have a real problem with always wanting to be right. This problem of always wanting to be right does not interrupt my ability to keep an open mind, but it makes me never give up an argument if I truly think I am right. Though, if I do feel that I may not be a specialist on the topic at hand, I will listen during an argument more than I speak.
Furthermore, I believe that I have a great desire to learn. I am the type of person who can research something I find interesting for hours on end. For instance, whenever I begin taking a new prescription medicine I spend hours researching the side effects and what the drug does. I am not satisfied just knowing a small amount about a topic, but I must be a master. I feel that the realm of law will encourage my desire to be a master on a multitude of topics. After all, to be a successful lawyer one must know about every detail of the element of law they practice.
Finally, though I have not taken the LSAT yet, I do have a GPA that is within the range of the law schools I am interested in attending.
